Cookie Crew Requirements and Benefits

Fast-paced work day with little or no downtime
Minimal personal phone time
Ability to lift and move heavy items, up to 50 lbs
Ability to stand or be on your feet most of the day with minimal sitting
Ability to walk several miles in a day as you do your work of baking and serving

Part-time employees: Available 3 weekends a month (goal is to schedule 2 - 3 weekends a month). Students need enough availability to be an asset.
Full-time employees: Willing to work 35+ hours, with hours varying. 2 - 3 weekends a month are required. Early morning shifts (4 - 6 am during major holidays) are common.

Our goal is fairness and honoring requests made during hiring.
Level of business determines hours. Only Bakers are guaranteed minimum hours (FT: 35 hours, PT: 20 hours).
Cookie Experts' hours depend on their availability and other factors.

Job Descriptions
COOKIE EXPERT
What we look for: Upbeat, energetic, hard-working individuals who love cookies, offer excellent customer service, and value teamwork. Knowledge of our menu, cookies, and upholding the Cookie Fix standard are important.
Expectations: Create a comfortable, welcoming, and hospitable experience for all customers, going above and beyond expectations.
Responsibilities: Greet customers, consult about products, take orders, fill orders, communicate with bakers and peers, operate the POS/cash register, restock items, read the Weekly Scoop, and complete FOH Daily Operations Tasks List.
BAKER
What we look for: We seek driven, talented, experienced, personable, and communicative bakers who are the "backbone" of our business. Bakers must interact with customers, employees, and managers, and be fully trained Cookie Experts, capable of working flexible hours in the Front of House.
Expectations: Responsible for baking, product preparation, daily planning, and managing the Front of House, interchangeable with all positions. Requires baking/cake decorating experience (or teachability), a positive attitude, and a fast-paced, driven approach.
Responsibilities: Opening/closing, daily baking, replenishment, order taking (in-store/phone), communicating needs to management, inventory management, catering order communication, preparing dough/ingredients for next day, communicating with opening baker, facility maintenance/cleaning, completing BOH Daily Operations Task List, working as Cookie Expert as needed, and overseeing future order planning.
